QUALITY SKATEBOARDS: A NEW BEGINNING

Skateboards have come a long way since their humble beginnings in the late 1940s. Southern California surfers evidently began using them when the waves were too flat for a regular surfboard and being too impatient to wait around for a good wave, some bright, unknown soul, came up with the idea for a short board. Adding wheels didn't follow far behind although no single person can claim to have been the sole inventor.
Today, skateboards are to be seen everywhere and many boarders have turned skateboarding from a pastime into a beautiful art, an art worthy of any performer in any other area of endeavor.
Today's boards offer more stability and a better grip than in the past. Designs have become a great part of creating a perfect skateboard as well. Just as with fine motorcars and bespoke clothing, custom designed, handcrafted skateboards are, and can be, a person's true pride to own.
While Canada has a great deal of wonders to offer, my favorite is the Canadian maple tree. Going a step beyond the famed syrup these trees produce, these trees not only grow more slowly, increasing their density and hardness but they make an ideal wood for creating durable and beautiful skateboards. When a skateboard deck is composed of layers of maple veneer it not only becomes more dependable and more durable, but its beauty will glow through even after years of wear and tear. Only minimum care is needed to keep these boards in top condition.
We all know that if any of the products used in the creation of a skateboard, is not top quality, the end result will be less than satisfactory. Shortcuts in manufacture may not be immediately visible to the purchaser, but eventually they'll begin to show up, and in the end, will have taken away the pleasure the owner might have enjoyed with this product. It is extremely important to vet the manufacturer and assure yourself that you're dealing with a company that truly believes in the highest quality product modern techniques combined with high principles and extensive training can provide.
Today, laser cut marquetry skateboards, although expensive, are worth their cost combining beauty with function for something every owner can be proud to display, not only on the streets but on the wall at home. Many of today's marquetry skateboards are indeed works of art worthy of admiration even for those who never enjoy the thrill of using one.
But during those daylight hours what better place to visit on your cherished skateboard than Byron Bay. Byron Bay is a creative community of designers, musicians, just ordinary people who love to gather together and, if artists or designers, etc., they are given an opportunity to show off their creations. Come by for a visit!
